Meet Emily Faulstich, Ultimate Cool Girl, Photographer, and Creative Behind the Brand, Wildfox

emily faulstich

As designer, photographer and illustrator who just happened to co-found cult clothing company Wildfox back in 2007, Emily Faulstich is that girl we all aspire to be like.

Originally from Santa Barbara, Emily studied fine arts and illustration at USC in Los Angeles. After graduation and tired of seeing boring, unfashionable tees in the market, she set out to design things that she would love to wear. So, at the age of just 23 Wildfox was born. She co-directed the brand until 2013.

Now based in New York City in the West Village, Faulstich can be frequently spotted in the park drawing on the grass. In addition to illustrating fun characters which she refers to as "little guys," she dabbles in photography and collage making as well. To see more of Emily's photography, collages, and illustrations, check out her website, Hawaiian Coconut.

And, since we love her work so much, we thought it'd be fun to learn a little more about this talented super babe. Read on to find out what Emily's most proud of in her career and what she's learned as an entrepreneur. You'll never guess what she starts her mornings with....

As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned… There are no such thing as weekends. But if you do what you love, it usually doesn’t feel like “work.” Even though it’s lots of work. Does that make sense? I guess I’m trying to say I usually don’t know what day it is.

My goal in life is… To get a dog. To create an empire. Also perhaps have a backyard.
